Wellsville man accused of attempted Facebook fraud pleads not guilty

NEW YORK CITY — A Southern Tier man accused of trying to criminally defraud Facebook's founder had pleaded not guilty to charges in federal court.

Paul Ceglia of Wellsville made the plea Wednesday in Manhattan. He was arrested in late October on mail and fraud charges after federal officials say he manipulated a contract with Mark Zuckerberg to make it appear as though he owned half of Facebook.

Ceglia's lawyer says he will ask that a trial on fraud charges be moved outside New York.

Ceglia remains free on bail. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
