More big news from One Bills Drive. Just a day after the Buffalo Bills fired their head coach, team owner Ralph Wilson Jr. handed over the title of Team President to CEO Russ Brandon. YNN's Kevin Carroll has more on the future of the organization.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson, Jr. has promoted Russ Brandon to the position of President and CEO of the team.

The Bills made the announcement Tuesday afternoon.

The move gives Brandon, who has been with the team for 16 years, full authority of organizaton's operations.

Brandon said he was called to meet with Wilson on Monday and went in with an open mind.

He said, "We had a wonderful visit. It was a rather emotional visit. He told me he was passing the torch, to me to run this franchise in totality. He has granted me full authority to run this franchise with zero restrictions and zero limitations."

Brandon said the Bills have a proud tradition, but the brand has been tarnished and called it "unacceptable."

In a press release issued by the Bills, Wilson said, "These past 13 years have been very difficult on our fans and we have not produced the type of winning team that they deserve. It has been frustrating for our organization and for me as well. We want our team to be one that our fans are proud of. I believe that Russ has the unique abilities to assemble and lead the talent we will need to get the job done."

Buddy Nix will remain as the Bills General Manager.

Head Coach Chan Gailey was fired on Monday following three seasons with the team.
