JAMESTOWN, N.Y. -- The Jamestown Renaissance Corporation has absorbed the responsibilities of the Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation.
Jamestown Renaissance Corporation handles city wide community development projects aimed at revitalizing Jamestown.
JRC leaders said the change consolidates the management and the funding of the two organizations and allows them to keep most of the same events while focusing more on revitalization efforts.
Peter Lombardi, Jamestown Renaissance Corporation Executive Director, said, "So I don't think people will see a lot of visible change in what we're doing here. We'll simply be able to provide those efforts and assist our partners in a more efficient way."
One event that will not continue this year is the annual Saint Patrick's Day parade.
