LACKAWANNA, N.Y. — Many people have done a lot lately to try to keep the Bethlehem Steel Administration Building standing, but one man is taking his protest of the building's demolition to another level.

Court-ordered demolition of the structure, which officials say would cost more to renovate than tear down, is set to begin in the near future.

John Nowak has been camping outside the abandoned complex for four days in a last ditch effort to save what he deems a work of art.

Nowak believes the property could be turned into a state of the art facility, complete with a stadium and apartments.

"There's also the waterfront, 1,200 acres of land that we don't have any public access to on the lake, and it would be a great place for development," he said.

Nowak said high winds and cold temperatures could force him back home but said if the building is demolished, he will know he did all he could. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
