FREWSBURG, N.Y. — A Frewsburg woman was treated for burns after her house was destroyed by fire Friday afternoon.
Fire officials say the fire started around 4 p.m. Friday. The 43-year-old woman received some minor burns to her face before making it out of the burning house.
Luckily, her five-year-old grandson was playing at the next door neighbor's as the fire quickly spread throughout the home.
"When we showed up it was fully involved. Flames coming out of the windows. Our main concern when we got here was protecting the house next to it. So it's totally lost," said Chief John Lindsay, Frewsburg Fire Department.
There's no word yet on what caused the fire.
