ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Two people were able to safely escape an apartment fire Saturday morning with the help of two good Samaritans.
Orchard Park police say a fire broke out around 7:00 a.m. in the residents' second-story apartment on Chestnut Ridge Road. The fire blocked the only door in the apartment.
Police say a nearby business owner and a second good Samaritan helped the residents escape from their bedroom windows.
The structure appears to be a complete loss. No word yet on what caused the fire.
